Increasing foreign exchange quota of Aras Free Zone up to 500 million dollars

Deputy of Economy of Aras Free Zone announced about increasing foreign exchange quota in the zone up to 500 million dollars in year.
The Public Relations and International Affairs of Aras Free Zone Org. reported that Iraj Hatami, the director of deputy of economy of Aras Free Zone in conversation with the reporter Bena added: Attracting the foreign exchange quota in Aras free zone was about 50 million dollars in 1385 (2006), 100 million dollars in 1386 (2007) and over 320 million dollars in 1387 (2008).
Economic Deputy of Aras Free Zone emphasized: Then attracting foreign exchange quota of Aras free zone will increase up to 500 million dollars in the current year.
He noted: The total quota of foreign exchange in the free zones of Iran is 1.5 billion dollars which is divided between six free zones and 250 million dollars is allocated to each zone for its foreign exchange quota.
He added: Each free zone in Iran can receive 250 million dollars tax from goods clearance in custom, now if a zone can't discharge goods for lack of facilities (attracting customers, transit, loading and unloading of goods, storage and ...) discharging goods will be done by other free zones and their foreign exchange quota will be increased.
Hatami emphasized: Based on the facilities, Aras Free Zone is gradually able to discharge the goods which other free zones have not been able to attract, and is able to increase its quota of foreign exchange. For example, last year Qeshm Free Zone could attract 200 million dollars from 250 million dollars of its foreign exchange quotas and 50 million dollars of it was attracted by Aras Free Zone.
