Creation museum of fossils in Aras Free Zone
By collecting more than 1,200 pieces of different species of fossils in the Aras Free Zone, fossil museum in the zone will be created soon.
Cultural, Social and Tourism Deputy of Aras Free Zone Org. said: showing a corner of geological attractions in Aras Free Zone is the purpose of establishing the fossil museum.
Farhad Esmaili added: Due to high capabilities of Aras Free Zone to become the second geo-park of Iran, initial steps for global registration of the zone will be done by creating this museum.
He pointed out: The collected works will be classified in cooperation with one of scientific centers of the zone and will be exposed to the public in an appropriate space.
Pointing out that fossil museum of Aras had capability to introduce geological and historical features of this reign to domestic and foreign tourists, Cultural, Social and Tourism Deputy of Aras Free Zone Org. added: Undoubtedly, the existing objects in museum will cause attracting and survival of tourists.
He added: We intend to develop and change the museum as the Natural History Museum by collecting other natural and historical species from Aras Free Zone. |
